"La
Grancia" is an estate situated in the heart of
the Sienese countryside, in a hilly area largely devoted
to the cultivation of wine & olive-oil, known as the
"Crete Senesi". The surrounding land is
interspersed with small vineyards and thick woodland. For hundreds of years the estate has produced the finest wine & "extra vergine" olive oil using organic methods. This tradition is continued today and it is possible to purchase our products from the Estate Office during your stay. The estate lands are dominated by the Grancia, a fortified farm complex dating from the 14th century, built on the edge of the small, medieval village of Montisi. "La Grancia" welcomes its guests to elegantly-furnished apartments of the highest quality, all with panoramic views. Guests have the use of extensive gardens and a swimming pool with views over the valley. Upon request, it is possible to visit the Grancia and the ancient cellars and have a taste of our products. |
